New York's Office of Cannabis Management says it is illegal to use cannabis in a motor vehicle, in a private business, or anywhere tobacco smoking is banned, and it names restaurant patios and public parks as examples. No one in a vehicle, driver or passenger, may open cannabis packaging. A purchase from Farmers Choice stays sealed until you are home, and our guide to New York cannabis laws covers where consumption is allowed.
